This is Wiki. He is 21 years old and he is the New Zealand Commonwealth games mascot. He has a Maori face. I chose to use a Maori face because the first people who came to New Zealand were Maori. Wiki is wearing the All Blacks uniform. The All Blacks are New Zealand’s favourite team. Wiki’s job is to score all the tries.
I like the idea of Wiki as a name for mascot if we hosted the Commonwealth Games. I wonder if people would want to buy lots of Wiki toys. Do you think he is colourful enough?

Hello Efilona, I really like the name of your mascot. Wiki is an a amazing name for your mascot and it suit's it as well and yes your right Maori's were the first people on New Zealand and I really liked the way you designed Wiki. Keep up the amazing and wonderful work.

ReplyDeleteThis was a great post. Your mascot drawing is well done and I really liked the way you made the face like the Maori since they were the first people to arrive in New Zealand. I am from the United States and didn't know the Maori were the first people in your country. Your post encouraged me to learn about their culture. Great job.
